South Stoke Community Garden;

Sticker Design

October, 2024.

One morning, I was sat creating one of my gelato design prints, and a gentleman leaned over and, almost in shock, asked "Are you drawing on your iPad?!" With that, I replied, "Yes I am, I usually use this time to draw! Some people will even develop these drawings and create logos from them." With that, he leaped at the opportunity to inform me he was part of a local Community Garden group and they were looking for someone to design their logo that would also be produced as stickers and placed on their Garden produce to sell at their local community shop.

The Story:

To produce a logo design that would be placed on produce locally grown at South Stoke Community Garden, that is being sold at their community shop. The logo was to have an authentic feel, taking influences from a stamp and be organic, adding to the ‘home-grown’ element.

The Brief

I began the design with the background, creating circular edges for the main design to sit in. The inconsistency of the lines adds to the authentic and hand-crafted feel, thus creating perfect imperfections. The logo’s text is in a casual, hand-lettered style, circling the illustration and giving it a friendly, welcoming feel. The soft green background complements the earthy colours, creating a harmonious and inviting design that represents the community garden's essence.
